FORT HALL, Idaho – On Thursday, September 19, 2019, at approximately 4:00PM, Fort Hall dispatched the Fort Hall Fire Department to a residential home on the Fort Hall Reservation. The Blackfoot Fire Department was called upon to assist the residential fire on 675 North Treaty Hwy. Upon arrival of the fire units, they found heavy fire conditions coming from the front window of the home extending to the porch and roof areas of the home.

Fire crews attempted to enter the home after knocking the fire down on the outside of the home. The crews attempted to make entry through the front door but had to retreat due to the floor of the home failing. The fire was contained within forty minutes of arrival. No injuries to report. The family pets did perish in the fire.

Fire crews stayed on scene until 9:00PM, investigating the fire with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Fort Hall Police. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No further information will be provided.
