ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning and American Indian College Fund to Hold Twitter Chat on Native Higher Education Equity, November 19, Noon MST

DENVER — Please join the American Indian College Fund as it teams up with ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning to discuss resources, issues, and concerns regarding equity in higher education with the Native American community to celebrate #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth on Twitter. The chat will take place at 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time/Noon Mountain Time on Tuesday, November 19 led by @ActEquity and @CollegeFund.

American Indian College Fund and Center staffers will facilitate a discussion on equity issues in higher education impacting Native American students and the Native community. The Twitter Chat is open to all tribal college and university faculty and staff, tribal college students, parents, college access professionals, school counselors, college advisors, high school seniors, and Native American students attending mainstream higher education institution.

During the Twitter Chat, @ACTEquity will ask the audience to share its experiences, concerns, and ideas about equity in higher education for Native Americans. The questions will be asked from ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning’s handle (@ACTEquity) and will immediately be retweeted by The American Indian College Fund (@collegefund) every ten minutes. Participants are asked to include the hashtag #NativeAmChat in their posts.
