Turning Stone Resort Casino’s 2019 Gingerbread Village features architectural details in honor of Oneida Indian Nation’s Turtle, Wolf and Bear Clans

ONEIDA INDIAN NATION, N.Y. — Every year, Turning Stone’s award-winning pastry team, led by Executive Chef Ron Ross, a three-time James Beard award recipient, and Executive Pastry Chef Dennis Miller, designs, bakes and decorates the largest and more elaborate Gingerbread Village in Upstate New York.

This year, the talented pastry chefs paid homage to the Oneida Indian Nation, owner of Turning Stone, by featuring imagery of the three Oneida Indian Nation clans – Turtle, Wolf and Bear – in the architectural details of the beautiful log cabin; one of nine buildings within the all-edible Gingerbread Village.

The Gingerbread Village is nationally-recognized every year by travel and tourism publications, such as Forbes Travel Guide, as an “edible work of art.”

Measuring more than 70 feet in length and features nine towering buildings, this year’s village also includes a Willy Wonka house; a Disney Princess-inspired hotel; a Candy Land designed house; a Mediterranean-style train station; and many more.
